Castle Siege Mayhem (L2SEA Version)

Currently Playing: Kyu Sakamoto - Miagetegoran Yoru no Hoshi wo

I do remember a few years back that I posted a picture in my Friendster of an in-game picture showing my guild, with our Alde Baran agit. Ohh, here it is!

Taken straight from my Friendster XD

It's nice to reminisce on stuff seemingly forgotten. Meeting them somewhere else also gives some kind of jolt in me; a kind of hyping steroid injection that's hard to shrug off. Anyway I'm not here posting this just to dwell on what's passed. I'm glad I met them again and we'll be fighting alongside them a second time around.

angelril (Sorceress) - [ez]angel

JonahMae (Warsmith) - [ez]Gladiator14

HAHAHA! I know I once described Glad's rule as that of tyranny but past is past and I'd rather celebrate that I met old friends in-game again. Makes for a good reunion, a second chance.

(Plus: seeing them play using girl avatars is worth LOLing at. XD)

gheTTogurL, another guildmate from pRO Fenrir's Forbidden is also playing L2, as a Warsmith named shawty. (Her bf is playing as well ^^) I also happen to know where she works right now is a very convenient place to play L2 while working. No joke. XD

With that said, I shall move back to my supposed topic, the first Castle Siege in L2SEA.

Siege in Blackbird
It was the 17th of November, Saturday. Since I had a noobie character and a little Adena in BB, I went to watch via the Broadcasting Tower in the Elven Village 30 minutes before end of siege (I had to sneak out of my catacomb party XD). I caught a glimpse of Guardian Cathel buffing players outside the Castle gates, while GM Alessea commentated all throughout the event. I heard a clan got the Castle there, but was proven otherwise when I got back on Aria.

I'm still waiting for a full report on it, someone's bound to post about it somewhere. o.O

Siege in Aria
I lost internet connection right before the first half of the siege (just a few minutes after GM Gilrain started commentating =_=), so I was only able to get back with 1 hour left for Aria. I saw Kaliel (a former clannie), Gashapon (master Ace) and Ninja (a well-known SignumVires guy, lol) running about in front of the Castle gates (it's about the only thing I can see from the Broadcasting Tower, DUH), and I also found the Front Castle Gate with tottering HP. I wonder how much damage I'd deal if I were to hit it with the book... lol anyway Aria's siege looked by far faster paced and action packed compared to Blackbird. You'll see the difference in the pictures below. (click for larger image)

Blissful Blackbird vs. Anarchic Aria
[comment]iseedeadpeople[/comment] LOL!

I didn't dare try and get a closer look in BB, due to the fact that dragging my level 4 character to Gludio with no teleport money would be such a hassle. As for Aria, it was HELL. My poor 512MB RAM would've yelled at me in protest if I forced myself any closer to the Castle. I was in Gludio and I could barely take the lag, what more if I were INSIDE the Castle?

Note to self: Buy a 1GB RAM card ASAP. T^T

Discord among Aria's Clans
When I got back online, ultimately missing the exact moment when Aria's siege was concluded due to faulty connection, I found Sera pondering on clan chat about clans and alliances in chaos. It seems the Dynasty alliance (Inquisition-RedForest-Astronix) "back stabbed" the other clans. The only bits I understood are: 1) they threw the clans into confusion by starting(?) attacks against members of other clans, and 2) they are supported by the Covenant alliance (Upheaval-Void-XurDead). During CS Upheaval's clan crest bore the same look as Dynasty's, except the letter embossed is "U". Now Void's has a "V" and XurDead's has an "X". Now if that's not a declaration of a 6-clan alliance, then I'm a dead rat.

I also remembered someone yelling that Inquisition had both of the Cursed Swords, Demonic Sword Zariche (2H sword) and the Blood Sword Akamanah (Dual swords). patriciojose mentioned in the Forums that they lost it a few days before the Siege, declaring fair play. I didn't see the swords myself, but the players supposedly holding these weapons still had red names, making me doubt nonetheless.

Cursed Sword Zariche

Blood Sword Akamanah

Just one thought lingers: They had the cursed swords and they still didn't get the castle? Gimme a break. ROFL~ XDDD

At the end of the day, the fact remains that no clan got a castle. We roll our eyes in a we-knew-it fashion and set off, back to leveling. Good luck next time, Aria. (buti pa Blackbird nakarating sa Throne room WAHAHAHA)

HOL-PW's Undeniable Success (and an elder's musings)

Currently Listening to: The sound of a Fettered Soul's chains clanking

It's been a while since I updated, stuff happened and I didn't have much time for blogging. God knows I can't even start making an L2 Guide update. I'll have to triple the effort next week. T_T

Anyhoo this should be old news by now, but it's something hard to get over with. Since the founding of our guild, Holy Order of the Light, it was the first time we were recognized by the gaming community for winning a tournament, Perfect World's Jade Nightingale during the recently concluded Level Up! Live 2007 Event. I remember Sera saying he really cried. If I was there, I would've cried too. XD

Being a 2nd Generation member of the Order, I didn't know much about how the guild started, or who were the members standing as the guild's foundation. It took some time to read about (haha) and I still don't know everything. Not like I expect to, mind you. :P Setting this aside, I played my role as a member of the HOL-MU Chapter until it's very end, when our Realm was eventually dropped. Bitter a memory as it is, we all learned a lot from that experience.

Though I may not know the 3rd Generation members (too well), I know most of them are doing good, and are all for devoting themselves to the betterment of the guild. Their performance in the tourney made all of us HOL members proud. They made our dream a reality. Corny cliché, but true. :P

Sa excitement, di naayos ang banner XD

Ayun, ayos na rin!

Raise the guild crest, make us proud. :3

I loved this pic of the Ancients best (1st Gen members):

Pic includes: Zakuretsu, Rensaku, Lorne, Sera, Hoseah, Jabael'Sag and Yernerolf
I think it was Voxie who noted Lorne's smile. Priceless indeed. :D

It's this victory that inspires me to keep striving for my goals, both in-game and in real life. It's a kind of motivation I can't quite name; but I can assure you it's strong enough to keep me in one piece since the beginning of my recent challenges.

Gosh I sooo missed blogging. Lol.

Fidgeting Budget Moolah and Reflections on Life

I just experienced what would probably be the most defined shopping trip; defined in a way that we knew where to go and what to get, or it took us little time to figure it out. We spent only 4 hours out to get things done, and in my family, that's a new record. XD

2PM - Departure
I kinda lazied over the couch, watching movies on cable channels so that delayed us. Wahaha. I never seem to tire of Shaggy Dog. I'd love to have a dog like that! x3 Betcha mom won't though, she hates all furry creatures — living or non-living. ¬ ¬;

20 minutes later, we arrived at the Town Cemetery, where we visited my grandmother's grave. I remember telling her in a prayer that someday, I'll have her marble tombstone fixed. I'm sure she understands the family's financial situation. In fact, I can feel her lurking around the house sometimes. Mom and I had connected dreams earlier today, which led her to believe our lola is calling for us. (Ack! That sounds weird ~ @_@)

2.45PM - Jam packed Mall
We decided to go on ahead and cool off in Santa Rosa's SM City Mall. Have to say I doubted any shopping today because I only brought a hundred bucks. Let me summarize what we did while we were there:

  • Saw Tito Sam with his wifey, bit of chit-chat
  • Checked the Surplus Shop, found tacky outfits for sale -.-
  • Went to Red Ribbon, bought this:
Triple Chocolate Roll! =p~
  • Trotted over to Herbench, found nothing I liked enough to buy
  • Fished and caught this tee from Dickies:

Same color scheme as my Multiply page xD
  • Strode over to an SM Super Market stall, where we bought Flavored Kernel cups (Japanese Sweet Corn w/ cheese powder and margarine! LOL)
  • Bought a loaf of bread and pantiliners (what an odd combo!) from the Super Market

Expenditures
All in all we spent:
Tricycle fare (to nat'l rd.) - 24 [special]
Jeepney fare (to cemetery) - 15 [7.50/person na pala! T_T]
Jeepney fare (to SM) - 15
Red Ribbon Cake - 180
Dickies Tee - 300 (it's sale! mwahahaha)
Flavored Kernel cups - 38 [19ea]
Super Market purchase - 99.25
Jeepney fare (from SM) - 15
Tricycle fare (home) - 24 [special]
GRAND TOTAL - P710.25

Akalain mo yun, less than 1,000 ang ginastos namin ngayon? And we didn't visit just one establishment ha. It's another record! XD

Reflection
I remember telling Miko (~EXO~Mikolit) this: "kung alam mo kung anong pahirap sa utak imanage natitirang resources namin ngayon, magugulat kang masaya pa ko ngayon :))" And it holds true. I am (still) happy. Cherish the past, live for the present, look forward to the future.

I remembered that statement I gave above when I saw this pack of brown stuff in a transparent plastic bag (which I realized to be dog food, roasted beef flavor) near the Express Lane Cashier, and remembered my beloved pet Colyn, a Shih Tzu/Maltese crossbreed. Her death almost 2 years ago (Feb. 15, 2006) made me succumb to regret and grief that I almost cut off contact with the outside world for the first half of the year. My grandma dying 2 months after Colyn didn't exactly help, you know.

2 weeks ago when we attended Lola Emang's interment, I cried, remembering my Lola Nene (not even close to Carmelita, ya?). I didn't think I would, really. It's just seeing her spot buried in about 20 feet of soil and about 10 wreath stuff (flowers you send to dead people's funerals, err) made me remember the funeral. It saddens me to think back and realize how poor a service we gave her. Dying isn't exactly budget-friendly, no. Paying for a coffin you'll just let rot underground isn't my idea of wise spending. But still... haaay! It makes my head loll just thinking how much everything cost! We had to ask Capt. Camalit for assistance (funeral discounts and everything) and despite that, we're still in debt of the funeral parlor by about 10 gran. This, and the credit card debts... I mean, really. You think I'd have a happy adulthood? But I don't have too many choices left.

I'm not exactly looking forward to that future, I'm still hoping it would change. If there's one valuable lesson I learned from all this, it's OPTIMISM. And more than anything else, I recognize the value of tight family bonds. You'd know what I really mean if you know me well.

To my closest (not necessarily best) friends and to my family, I give my love. Thank you for having me. :3

BANZAI!!!!11

P.S.
Did you see my nails!?! XDDDD
