Neko's Christmas 2007 Update

Currently Listening to: Jesse talking on the phone

Merry Christmas Blogspot! This is my best Christmas. Ever. So far pala. Hehe.

I got a job! XD

Anyhoo, the December 22 siege in L2SEA Aria went well -- the BattleMaster clan got Oren castle in under 50 minutes. We were there to see it. Hehe. Here's the evidence (click for bigger images:

1st pic: xHyourinmarux, Mekhet and KiQX
2nd pic: Gashapon (also Coleslaw) and kamndag

I think I was either sitting beside the tree's pot or I was running off to buff someone in the first shot. Lucky huh? @_@

One last piece of news: Istar el' Adere joined the Ascendance alliance yesterday, completing the triad with Infinity and InfinityXT. I can say one thing for sure: Umeko's brought Istar a long way.

"Good things never last" is taboo here. lol

P.S.
Got to talk to Lai on YM today. Hehe! Thank God for Multiply's quick refresh pages, I saw her reply virtually appear on my most recent blog post. Apparently she's doing just fine. Here she is with her mom.

Neko's note: YAY SNOW! XD

Bon Voyage -- The Despedida and the Aftermath

Currently Playing: DEPAPEPE - シュプール -WINTER VERSION'05
(If you don't have Japanese Script, it means "Spur")

Ok so Lai left for the States and life goes on for us left in the Philippines. I wonder if she got there just fine? Haven't got mail from her yet. How long does it take you to get to US by plane?

Grabe I miss the girl already. It's just not the same you know... Ok so we don't spend that much time together, but there's still a difference between knowing she's somewhere in the neighborhood and knowing she's thousands of miles away from you.

LAI! PASALUBONG NAMIN HA!!! T^T

Wahaha. Joke. NOT.

Preparation Phase
Wow, it's like going through NSTP2 lessons all over again. Nyahahaha! We had to think of the schedule, the food, the activities, the gifts... So in the end we settled with these:

DATE: December 12, 2007; Wednesday
TIME: Whole day
VENUE: Joey's house
Food sponsored by Naie and Joey
Activities include eating and anime marathon

I sent a group message to the three stooges on the night of 11th, saying I may not make it to the party until very late in the afternoon, due to an emergency trip we had to make to Balintawak. They actually believed it. Booya!

The Surprise
So I arrived @ Joey's around 2PM, actually much later than originally planned, because I was waiting for her message saying she's home. And because I spent about 2 hours in the bath, I didn't read her message as soon as she sent it. Hehe, sorry Joey~ x3

So there I was, being ushered into their home. The next few minutes, I found myself being buried alive under about ten pillows on her bedside. LOL. It was our idea of a surprise, since the other two didn't know we were faking it. *ebul laff* We chatted there while watching So Happy Together till we heard voices calling from outside the gate. That was our cue: she buried my face and it was oven toaster mode again.

At around 2:30 PM Naie and Anna arrived, and yes, I heard them bickering in the kitchen before I realized I stopped breathing under all the pillows. I heard Joey yell out "Pakisara yung TV ha!" and, counting to 7 (I stopped short of 10), jumped out from my prison and caught Anna stuttering "Sabi ko na e, sabi ko na nga ba eh!" Naie and Joey came rushing to the room and giggling, Naie wrestled me on the bed (not really ala lesbian wrestling lol), tickling the shit out of me. Talk about getting punished for making the biggest surprise of the party. *my whole body ached for 3 days after this btw*

A GP re-enactment of the deathly tickle scene: Katey (top) and Angela (bottom)
No yuri involved.

Food! Yey!
I must stress that the true highlight of the event is the food preparation. Okay so I didn't pay for squat, but I did bring a cake for the occasion; I wasn't sure they've tasted Dulce the Leche yet. Glad I bought one... it made a nice combo with Anna's graham ice cream. :3 So anyway, we worked on the Carbonara sauce there: Anna started the sauté assisted by Joey, Naie grated the cheese (and I helped her with it because she used a freakin' FORK) while we prepared the other sauce ingredients. It took us another two hours to get the sauce done. Goodness.

(I was secretly praying Tito Celso doesn't catch us at work, nakakahiya kasi CHEF pa naman sya! x_x Good thing he kept well away from the kitchen. *fears criticism, omg omg omg*)

On to the pics!

The can (Exhibit A) says WHOLE, and yet the contents were CHOPPED.
We should be suing Jolly Mushroom for this.

Exhibit B shows Naie grating cheese with a fork.
Notice in Exhibit C how well grated the cheese looks. My handiwork.
(Using the cheese grater automatically made me 1337, ROFL)

Anna the cook. We seriously thought of role playing Yakitate! Japan.

Exhibit D: Chopsticks in the sauce? Samin lang yan.
I used it to pick charred stuff out. XD

(It's actually more Cooking Master Boy-ish, ya?)

Feast for 4. No joke.
From top to upper left then clockwise: A Superman tumbler (kidding, this ain't included), 2 mugs and a pitcher of Tang Red Iced Tea, Dulce de Leche from Goldilocks, Primo Fully Loaded Pizza from Greenwich, Anna's Graham Ice Creams, Homemade Spaghetti Carbonara

Charlie's Angels in the kitchen armed with a spatula, tongs and chopsticks.
And yes, we loved this shot.

Kaninong buhok ito? We found Exhibit E in the bowl of Carbonara.

Exhibit F shows us in perfectly high spirits to eat what we worked so hard for (I exaggerate, of course.), despite wondering whose hair we found in the food.
Exhibit G shows the amount of pasta we plan to shove in; getting bigger from right to left.
(Wahahahaha!)

Exhibit H: Moving in for the kill... Nah, we saved it for the DVDs.
(Liu Mao Hsing's knives FTW~!)

DVD Raid este... Marathon
Being the otakus that we are plus the powers of Joey's cable TV and Anna the torrent hunter, D/Ler and burner, we first popped in the Die Hard 4 DVD and went straight on to watching anime. We caught Prince of Tennis on HeroTV, then watched a damn clear copy of Ouran High School Host Club. I love DVD technology! *wub wub wub*

Anyway here are a few pics I snatched from Lai's Multiply. I wonder when Naie can post hers? I want that nice shot of Dulce de Leche I took using her N73. lol

The Newest Escape Mystery Game: How to get out of the Pink Room.
(watch DVD first. kthxbai)

Le Bangag. I look worse as we progress. *drops dead*

The Charmed Ones. Anna, Verna & Joey
(Anna: waaah dapat nag-black ako! T^T)

Teh gifts. Happy Meal's mine!!!!1

Me with Yukiko neko-chan. In other words, me holding Naie's gift. Thx grrl! :3

Dan the drrty bear, Joey and teh new doggie saying "Hi!"

Micchi teh white kitty. Ang landi ng lolo, ayaw mag-pose!

Packing Up
It was past 10 when my mom arrived and as promised, Tita Nora stayed up to keep her busy chatting while we went on with our Ouran marathon. At around 11:30PM, Anna's dad came and we just had to accept that it really is time for curtain call. We took a few last minute shots before setting off for home.

These are stuff I'm sure to miss... oh and yeah, I just had an effin' deja vu right after the last word of the previous paragraph. Stop doing that! *snaps at Mr. Time and Ms. Return* (I have their Clow cards and I'm snapping at them atm)

Teh graham killzor and pasta lovurr

Ang take home ko. Galit si Anna sa lalagyan, di na masara.

The secret to rosy cheeks! Joey 'having fun' with my puffs.

One last pic. Ohh teh eye bags! T^T

I guess that's it for this post. I'm too exhausted to add anything else. lol

Sieges and Parties -- RL and IG Crossover

Currently Playing: Mamiko Noto - Aizome

Yeah, I noticed I didn't blog for some time. I even missed thinking up an L2 guide update for this week. Silly me. I should've written about Castle Siege and related it to the Manila Peninsula Mutiny. You've got to read about it. It's worth a bunch of LOLs.

Just think about it: In normal wars it's the soldiers up front, and the media snatching shots of the goings-on some safe distance away. During the standoff last 29th, it's the media leading the crowd.

Pwn 'em!!!!1

RL Sieging 101
They called it the Manila Pen Siege. Funny how they'd use a damn tank and throw teargas in; considering the number of civilians left in that hotel, and the damage they caused to the building! I heard on the news last night that their losses for closing a number of days has already reached P25M (twenty five million Philippine Pesos!), and that does not include the cost of damage and repair to the building.

Oh yeah, press worldwide sure had a field day.

They're talking about filing cases for Trillanes and his gang for this; and to think it was THEIR FUCKIN' TANKS and guns that caused it all! (this line reminds me of The Cranberries, LOL)

If there's anything you can do to rouse the public's anger most, it's suppressing their freedom. Oh yeah, wise move PGMA administration. Current events in the Philippines makes me S-I-C-K.

Party People!
Oh, going back to Lineage II, we had a clan party earlier at the Catacomb of the Heretic, for purposes of party leveling, teamwork practice, blah blah. It was FS' idea, and it was a good thing we did too: most of my clannies haven't experienced party leveling before today, and they got a glimpse of how it was to lure monsters and beat the shit outta them with splash-damaging pole arms.

As was done in the past, I piloted Umeko one 1 client while Amaryllis on another. We spent a good three hours there too. We also oriented them to the Seven Signs event. In the following days we'll try to express its importance in L2's Castle Siege system.

First time mo? Hehehe!

...And there were 7.
Senior/HOL members: Flyingsaucer, Coleslaw (Acme), Emanuderu
New members: Umeko (from Endless), Mekhet, elabella1 (Eman's brother)

Our L2 clan's level average right now is roughly around 40. So siege is a long way ahead. No worries though; we're in no rush at all. I value loyalty above anything else, before dedication to the game. Because I learned, over almost 5 years of online gaming, that it's not the level that matters: its experience. (thanks for this quote, Ate Ching ^^)

Speaking of parties, the first ever Christmas party/EB of Istar el' Adere™ a.k.a. Alpha Order of the Stars™ is set for the 15th of December. Hope I can make it. *crosses fingers*

Oh, and before I forget, you can click the link of the music above to see a description of it. Ai Enma FTW~!! I <3 Noto Mamiko's singing voice!
