It's emoRained's birthday today! Happy birthday dadeh~ :3 pfKIX is celebrating hers (she turned 2x last August 22, belated honey~) along with him today at San Pedro.

He asked if he should be kicked out of PF, snapped at pfEDZ saying "shut up" and even said to pfG33, pfMYN, pfANN and pfCJ that he doesn't plan to leave PF unless EDZ kicks him out? He really, sincerely, honestly believed he'll be asked to stay? The nerve of that thick-faced brute!

Well kid, you just used up your dignity points. Shoo shoo go away leave us be already. Your existence makes my nose hairs tingle. Ewww. HAHAHA~

Third, I HATE WARROCK!

Thursday last week, classes were suspended due to an expected storm. But there was no rain. In a previous post I complained about feeling no cold winds, no strong rain showers, no nada. It wasn't until late at night that these signs started to show and as I predicted, classes were once again canceled on Friday. This meant a 5-day vacation for me, since Monday was a National Holiday.

Today's Friday again and as usual, I have no classes today. XD Monday's another National Holiday and I read that Tuesday's the Feast of St. Augustine, which means it's another 5-day vacation! Just imagine: Classes 3 days a week, 4 days of vacation? This semester ROCKS!! XDDD

Speaking of rocks, I HATE WARROCK. I just installed the damn game to see if it's worth trying. It's like an online version of Counter-Strike and the game system is the same as Gunbound, O2Jam, Audition, etc.: you log-in, choose a server, join a room and play. After a single freaking practice game, I felt nauseated and sick. It's the same feeling when I play Half Life, Counter Strike... whatever 1st person view games on PC. I felt like I was gonna hurl.

Now that I'm perfectly rested (yeah I took a 30-minute break and watched Just Like Heaven on HBO just now) I can resume ranting about it. -_-!!

The game interface is okay... Controls are pretty easy, except the camera view doesn't change when you press "V", sheesh. And that's where the easy part ends. I have no freaking idea what my enemy looks like and how to go about the mission, if there ever is one. How the hell do you even plant the freaking bomb? Who's planting it and who will have to diffuse it? Blah, I was just running around shooting the sky and getting pwned by headshots. -_-

After just one game, I spammed the ESC button on my keyboard and quit the game. I closed my eyes, listened to feel good songs on my playlist and when that didn't work, I left the PC room, felt my way to the living room and threw myself on the sofa. I really felt sick and I resisted the urge to puke.

This ALWAYS happens when I play 1st person view games. ¬ ¬;

Oh, look at the time, it's 1:37PM and I haven't eaten lunch! Stupid Warrock! I'm off to eat. Gaaah.

Blogging: The Newest Profitable Hobby?

I once found myself saying this to a friend on YM when he told me he's quitting school and looking for a job.

everybody's quitting school.
everybody's applying for call centers.
what's next? everybody dancing hula? fuck.

Know what? Next thing I knew, everyone's into making blogs. LOL.

First, there was this surge I created when I bared info for my Audition club mates on this blog right here. So that kindled interest in them as well as my friends, especially those who see me on YM, because I almost always include a link to my blog there.

The first batch of disciples was created.

After these blogger disciples created their own blogs, their friends, most of them my friends too, created theirs.

Soon after, community blogs popped up, like YOUr Lineage, GE Community Blog and the Audition Community Blog. Then I said, something must be up.

It wasn't until I watched the show Rated K by Ms. Korina Sanchez that I realized, the Filipino society has finally recognized the REAL potential of the blogging community.

It is true that blogs are basically online journals, because individuals create them for personal purposes. Their blogs gain popularity by letting their friends know about it, and sharing its content to the internet community. But what is it that made blogging popular?

Simple.


MONEY. XD


I knew soon after I started blogging that this hobby can be turned into a profitable sideline. It's just the way you blog and what you blog about that matters. And I guess, of course, sponsors. That's what ADS (advertisements, duh!) are for. :P There are many out there who made it big by blogging, the first person I knew to blog for work is Xiaxue of Singapore. Consistent viewers of this blog would notice that Xiaxue's link still lives on my sidebar, and I don't ever remove that. Makes for some good inspiration (and giving a few laughs) when I need it.

Even though I admire the girl for her writing style, it's eons away from mine, and I can and will never write like that. My reason: I have my reservations about how I judge people openly, and I prefer to keep that private, thank you.

So anyway, going back to the topic of blogging for money... I have considered the thought since I put up my web counter last year, but I never took the idea seriously. So why am I blogging about this now?

Because I'm worrying about the same thing everyone else is. MONEY.

Maybe in the next few days, my head will clear up and I can finally decide if I should go ahead and make the necessary changes to make this hobby profitable for me.

Time may come that I might not even be able to afford typing like this at home. God, help me.






Oh, and before I forget, I updated my links. Give them a once-over, a couple of Audista friends made their own blogs too. I have been a very bad influence. xD

(二) It was announced on the news: NO CLASSES TODAY. But students asked: "Where's the rain?!" Wtf? My FIL1 prelims has been postponed AGAIN!

(三) Continuation of #2: 9.35PM and the cold winds are blowing in... Wtf were the authorities thinking? I DECLARE NO CLASSES TOMORROW!

(四) I have been chosen as a contributor for SOS Bulletin. Wow?

(五) Continuation of #4: My deadline for the Lineage II Introductory Guide is tomorrow. EEK!

(六) Jonas (pfASI) asked me to be his partner for Audition PH's Couple Fashionista. He'll buy our costumes.

(七) Deadline for submission of entries is the 19th (Sunday) and I haven't checked the Fashion Mall yet!!

(八) Flyff PH installer stopped @ 83%. I tell you that thing is CURSED!

(九) HE was numb enough to not reply to my text message, completely ignore Rakie's "patama" post on the PF thread, and STILL manage to say hi on YM! Ohh the nerve! (No, it's not you Blue)

(十) Pat texted me just now saying he's cursed and is really sick at the moment.

Schedule of L2 Mall Tour (Free Play)

Okay, so last week I went to the Free Play @ SM Sta. Rosa sponsored by AMDG for promoting Lineage II-SEA locally. I said I'd be there by 1PM, but ended up arriving some time around 3PM because my mom insisted on going with me. Yeah, I got hella pissed, I was resisting the strong urge to destroy the TV set. And while watching Animax too! Pity she didn't take her time long enough. ¬_¬

When I got there, I was a bit... I dunno, puzzled? I expected a crowd but then I realized, hey, this is Laguna, how could you compare it to other cities or areas, like Las Piñas? I heard the SM Southmall Free Play was a blast. I wasn't about to get discouraged yet. :P

After filling in the information sheet, I waited for the "receptionist" (hehe, mukhang reception kuno xD) to show me to a seat. Wah, dun pa ako sa bungad pinapwesto. Everyone can see me! x_x (good thing my character is something to brag about xD) I'm playing with almost newbies, so it's typical for them to gawk at me while I play. Ehe. :3

The guy sitting next to me chose the Dark Elf race, and for some reason, his character got stuck at Primeval Isle. How the hell did he do that? Bah, who knows. O_O I only noticed him after he called for a staff member's assistance, and that's how I saw the problem. What IS the problem?

In free play events for games that are still in beta testing, the best tutors of the game are those who have played the game and learned more than just the basics. I didn't expect the game assistants to know any better than I do, since I'm a new player myself, but it never hurts to help. So after the game assistant walked away looking rather frustrated, I took a deep breath, tapped the guy on the shoulder, and asked if I could help.


Ay, ang kyut nya pala. Shit. xD


So I had to avoid eye contact. Mahirap nang mamula, FENK ang suot ko LOL. After going straight through the dinosaurs failed, I took control of the mouse and maneuvered his character around the island. I gave him a tip on how to make it to the other shore safely (he had zero healing potions! x_x) and that's where he used the command /unstuck. Problem solved. :3

Hey, I could apply as a Game Assistant! Woo-hoo!

After my little stint, some of the staff members took notice of me and flocked my unit. This is the part I hate, getting noticed. xD Hello, if you get dubbed as "adik" or "mamaw" in public, that's kind of... embarrassing noh! And the staff guy with a digicam got 2 pictures with me in front! Kamusta naman yun?

(Acme on guild chat said, "Ipa-patent mo na face mo Miss Pops ^^" Me: Oh sh*t! @_@)

When 2 hours of free play were up (well, we had to give way for the next batch of players ^^), the 8 top players were announced. They were selected by the level they reached in-game. Me being at level 20, got a sure spot.

(I was awed by this guy who reached level 17 in 2 hours. Wtf.)

We had a 4vs4 party duel (a.k.a. Senate versus Malacañang, lokong emcee hahaha!), and it was held in this Coliseum-style arena with green grass and banners... Typical setting. But still uber kewl. I buffed my party mates minutes before the duel and I used Heal when needed, and they were aggre. xD That sure bagged us the win. Mwahahaha!


We, the Malacañang team (ugh, tacky!) were called in front to get our winnings, which included a Lineage II poster, sticker, mini game guide, a ballpen and the best prize, the pouch bag. ALL BLACK (except the pen, doesn't matter). Wheeee~~

Feeling good about myself for the first time that day, I almost forgot that I got mad at my mom. Lucky day for everyone? LOL. We already passed by the stall of Brownies Unlimited on our way out, when I stopped, walked back, and took a second look at the pastries.

Neko wants brownies, she gets them. Hey, I treat myself like, once a month! I deserve a break for bagging the win in Free Play and a perfect score for FIL1 recitation noh! (I sux at Filipino! x3)

Prob is... I was starting to feel a sting in my throat. Uh-oh.

I am way past weird.

First, let's define weird: (from Dictionary.com)

3. Archaic. concerned with or controlling fate or destiny.

Lol. If that's all their basis of weird is, then I'm much worse than I thought.


15 weird things about me:
1. I have a habit of biting people. That's when I'm pissed with them, or nanggigigil ako sa kanila, or I just feel like it. Don't worry, masarap ako mangagat. Not implying anything though! :3

Anyway, this started a month after I've been treated for possible Rabies contamination more than 2 years ago. Yeah, my own dog bit me. -_- He was a German Shepherd hybrid. I've been afraid of big dogs ever since.

2. I sleep more comfortably on a thin mattress than I do on a fluffy one. I find that weird for someone who grew up to a bit of luxury in life. If there's no other choice other than sleep on the floor or the fluffy bed, I'd take the bed. But it would take me a minimum of 3 hours before I fall asleep. Then I'll wake up an hour later and God knows when I'll fall asleep again.

3. I collect prepaid cards. Cellphone load, game time load, internet load, whatever. And I refuse to throw them away. T_T I don't know why exactly, maybe because I wanted to keep track of my expenses, but then again, them cards look damn good... OK so my mom THREW AWAY half of my collection, I hated her for a full week after that.

I also lost a number of my Ragnarok game cards when my wallet got stolen, along with 2,000 cash. I'm so generous.

4. I collect game installers. I have lots of em stocked up here though I don't play all of them. Gawd I miss my Maple Story installer. It is by far the cutest, absolutely NOTHING can compare. Ronnie, can I have it back? T^T

5. I love water! I know cats generally hate it and that I'm one of the few that don't. :3 Kidding aside, I had a near-death experience when I was 3 years old, and I almost drowned. They found me sitting on the bottom of the beach. LOL. You're supposed to get a trauma from that, right? Despite that fact, I learned swimming and I also chose this as Angela's element in EiC.

6. It took 7 years before my skin returned to its original complexion. Years of swimming in the pool and beach for extended periods of time took its toll on me and on a few occasions, even resulted to skin complications. Studying in Dominican College of Sta. Rosa didn't help either, because we had to attend the flag ceremony EVERYDAY in the scorching heat of the morning sun! (province = less pollution = more sun = EEK!)

7. I have bad, BAD memory. I can't remember people's faces easily, or the clothes they wore. Sometimes I even forget something you would say 30 seconds ago. They say it's the effect of too much anesthesia in the system. I got an eye operation when I was a kid, so I guess that's why. After all the eye's just a few centimeters away from the brain. -_-

8. My left eye looks deeper than my right eye. This is due to the eye operation I got. Look closely at my pictures, the eye bag under my left eye is bigger. -_- My left eye also has a higher grade than the right one, 175-150 at present.

9. I used to hero-worship people. I adored people to the point that I'd put them on a pedestal and bend to their every whim. Well, not anymore...

10. I have extreme attitudes that I have trouble containing. That's why a lot of people think I'm weird. One minute they read my sad messages on SMS, then hear me laughing hard on the next. They say I'm schizo... Am I? o.O

11. I'm a rebel inside. Don't believe me? See me get angry. :3

You ask why "inside". That's because at some point in my rage, I realize the many reasons why I can't leave my place, no matter how hellish it gets.

12. I can manipulate my voice to make it sound small. I'm a frustrated seiyuu. ^^ And yes, I can do chipmunk voices. xD Check out the song "You're Already Gone" in my Imeem playlist for an idea on how I sound.

If I make it abroad I might try my hand at a dubbing career. Who knows, I might just make it. xD

13. I can stay in front of the computer the whole day doing nothing. Adik amp.

14. I love playing dumb. It's fun when the person thinks you're clueless when the truth of the matter is, you know 10 times more than he does. xD

And yes, this applies to playing innocent when I know a guy likes me. Peace. ^^v

15. My mind works better under pressure, but my heart doesn't. I hate that. -_-
