RAN Online: UP Gang Alab celebrates 1st year Anniversary!

First off, CONGRATULATIONS UP GANG! We made it! (haha na-late ako XD) After a 7-month delay our Oblation Run finally pushed through. But how come us girls ran naked as well? x_x

See the pics of the madness we stirred up in Alab Channel 1 last night by clicking HERE. I uploaded them on my Multiply page, there's a whole album dedicated for it. Cheers to us gangmates! o^_^o

There's me and Roj (Sir_Mayhem), and Tep (Prince_Stephen) holding an invisible cellphone. Hahaha!

In other news, L2-SEA has a new slew of events in store for us players this October. (Click the images to read more)

Our Golden Apiga will not be left ignored! T-shirts, bags and pig stuffed toys are in store for those who have Golden Apiga(s) in their inventories!

* Keep your golden apigas in your inventory up to Sept 27, for a chance to win in the raffle
*Use your Pirate Booties now (just right click it in your inventory for a chance to get a Golden Apiga)

In every town there is a special Event Gatekeeper who will grant you teleport at nearby hunting grounds at a discounted price. This event runs from September 21 to October 5.

Hunt monsters around the world to retrieve medals. There are two types: Medals and Glittering Medals.

Exchange these medals to the following assistants:
~ Roy the Cat
~ Winnie the Cat
~ Louie the Cat

Who's your favorite? Who's the funniest? Who's the most notorious? You decide! We are now opening the nominations of the Lineage II - South-East Asia Open Beta Awards!

  • Deadline for submission of entries is on October 8, 2007
  • Nominations will be compiled and be posted at the Lineage II South-East Asia Forums and on iPlayAsia.Community on October 10, 2007

My take on the events:

Finally, the pig event comes to a close. No more bots? Naaah. They're back to our usual leveling spots, and a select few stray away to our unusual quest spots. They just keep increasing in number don't they? -_-

As if we haven't been hurt enough yet, here comes the Heavy Medal Event. These people really never learn. Come October we'll see the destruction of the L2-SEA economy. I won't be surprised to see some real hardcore gamers quit at this point in time. AMDG top brass are asking for it.

Business huh? If that's how you run it, I'll just keep my talents to myself and use them abroad. Or establish my own effin' business. Whichever comes first.

As a last treat to lighten my mood, I present you: teh acrobatic dog~! (from heldige-asen.blogspot.com)

I wonder what he wants to do here. O.o

Whatever it is he sure did a funky pose. (parang kakagatin yung... HAHA xD) I found this pic through Blogger Play and even though I didn't understand a word on that blog, this picture spoke all the words I needed. xP

You made my day, doggy. :3

Living like Cockroaches

[Not playing anything due to severe headache]

Quoted from Clyde:

When I arrived at Manila four years ago, I was surprised to see that people there live like insects, cockroaches. From the airplane window, looking at the city below makes you think that your existence is irrelevant and unwanted. People there are massive in number, restless, and always competing with each other for the sole reason of living. You cannot distinguish one stranger from another. Those who lose in the competition of survival always result to crime or poverty. People in a big city look alike, think alike and smell alike. They live a life full of malice and do not trust anybody other than their friends and family. They only have one thing in their mind: To survive, to live in prosperity and serve their so-called purpose in living.

I got one thing to say to you Clyde: You've become one hell of a writer! xD It's amazing what a broken heart can do to a person. Not meant to imply anything dude, but in all the years I've known you from UPLB, this is the first time I saw you express this much emotion.

We must search for our own purpose of living. Although insignificant, we can’t deny the fact that humans need something to cling on in order to live. We do not wish to be alone. We want to be important. We want to feel needed. We want to be loved.

We must find a purpose to live, for those who live without purpose die like cockroaches.

I hope you find solace in the thought that we, your friends, are here for you; no matter how far apart we now are. =)

On the other hand, I prompted to do a write-up of my own thoughts on everything I've watched, heard and talked about on the Cris Mendez Case. But it seems the Blogger Community has indeed expressed everything there is to be said; I just have this much left to say:

Cris is such a loss to the community... He couldv'e been one of those people who made a difference. I hope you Sigma Rho fratmen learn when to keep mum or speak up, because NOW is the right time to SPEAK UP.
